The artistic residence Art BnB is an initiative of Accelerator of Artists that arises with the intention of being the beginning of a network of private homes that serve as a space of creation for artists, and of becoming a laboratory of independent residences and thus form a circuit parallel to that of institutions, academic environments and other collective initiatives.
Art BnB responds to the need to promote contact between artists, curators and cultural managers of different latitudes, and aims to create lines of interaction between artists and patrons, generating between both actors practices of dialogue and approach to contemporary creation through the Experience of sharing the private space.
LOVE IS LIKE SERRANO HAM (PANCHO LÓPEZ)
In November 2017, Mexican performer Pancho López was invited to make a stay at ART BnB where he developed a research on the space that welcomes him, the affections and the (sometimes complicated) relationship with food.
THE SPACE THAT I HAVE (Castela + Gil)
The last 10 days of August 2016, the first Art BnB artistic residence was held in a flat in the center of Madrid. The artists invited to participate in this initiative, Beatriz Castela and Jorge Gil, have developed a joint research on the appropriation of the domestic space, the foreign territories and the imaginary construction of identities and experiences.
